Rowntree Partnership was employed to provide structural design services for a new facility for ADC Krone who had out grown their premises in Cheltenham. The new building covers a footprint area of approximately 2500m2 providing warehousing and two-storey office space. Being one of the last plots to be developed on the business park, the issue of made up ground and spoil that had been stock piled on this site had to be dealt with. This material was laid across the site and treated using lime stabilisation to give an improved subgrade. This also raised the general level of the site which falls within the flood plain of the River Severn.
